SunCrest Warm Winter Clothes Drive
In 2014, we launched our inaugural “Over the River & Through the Woods” clothing drive to help benefit schools in Heber City, Utah. Many residents of that community are the backbone workforces of the ski and tourism industry, often struggling to make ends meet with long hours and low wages.
Together, with the residents of SunCrest we planned, organized, and collected over 400 warm winter clothing items for Heber Valley Elementary. From boots to hats, jackets to thermals, SunCrest made a difference.
In 2015, we made an even bigger impact! With just under 500 warm winter clothing items collected, we’re proud to say families are warmer and look forward to our 3rd annual drive in the Fall of 2016. Heber Valley and Wasatch High staff estimate SunCrest’s donations help around 25 families (150 people.) SunCrest’s support and donations were greatly appreciated.
Windermere Community Service Day
Every year since 1984, Windermere associates have dedicated a day away from work to complete neighborhood improvement projects. Creating vibrant communities is one of the things that inspire our network to be involved in service projects that make things a little brighter for all of neighbors.
This year, Windermere Utah provided The INN Between improvements, inside and out. We helped build a memorial garden with a brick path, and built and installed benches to enjoy the beautiful new landscape. Read about our experience here.
Zane Beadles Parade Foundation
In 2015, we partnered with the Zane Beadles Parade Foundation as they hosted their inaugural Charity Golf Tournament to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of the Intermountain Area. The event raised over $50,000! We’re looking forward to being involved in the 2nd annual Zane Beadles Charity Golf Classic on June 27th, 2016.
This year, the first ZBPF room at Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain region was dedicated. This long-term suite will help provide a place to stay for bone marrow transplant and long-term oncology patients.
The ZBPF supports the journey of young people going through life changing medical experiences, with its main focus on pediatric cancer. We’re grateful to be involved.
The foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that creates new experiences for the pediatric cancer patients at Brent’s Place and patients suffering from spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries at Craig Hospital in Denver. In 2014, the foundation expanded its services to kids and youth in the Jacksonville area while continuing to work with its partners in Denver.
Windermere understands the importance of giving back to our community. Enriching the neighborhoods we live in which we live is an integral part of how we do business. With every home sale, a portion of our commission is donated to the Windermere Foundation.
Since 1989, the foundation has collected and contributed over $26 million. Assistance is provided to non-profit agencies dedicated to helping homeless and low-income families in our community.
