Thank You, SunCrest | 2016 Warm Winter Clothes Drive
SunCrest, you’ve done it again. THANK YOU! We know there are a lot of opportunities (especially this time of year) to participate in drives or donations and we cannot thank you enough for your enthusiastic and continued generosity in our warm winter clothes drive.
In 2014, we launched a warm winter clothing drive to help benefit schools in Heber City, Utah. Many residents of that community are the backbone workforces of the ski and tourism industry, often struggling to make ends meet with long hours and low wages. Many children attending school are below the poverty level. These kids and families don’t need new or brand name clothing, just warm winter clothes in the correct size so they can make it to and from school and enjoy recess. These donations have made a huge difference in these families lives.

SunCrest Annual BBQ
SunCrest Annual BBQ Recap
Oh, SunCrest. We’re just in love with you. We still get butterflies in our stomach driving up the hill to see you. Heck, we want to grow old with you.
So after getting to spend an entire afternoon with so many of you at the annual SunCrest BBQ — the people who make these houses into a real home for us — you can imagine that we’re still positively glowing.
We’re often asked, “What are the people like in the SunCrest community?” Our response: “Welcoming, friendly, outgoing, and diverse. The best kind of people, really.” Meeting new neighbors and seeing friends at events like this are a reminder why we live in the greatest neighborhood in the state.
We have to give a huge THANK YOU to the SunCrest OA for allowing us to sponsor the event again this year. And how about the food? Justin and his team were slinging BBQ sandwiches left and right. Based on the ticket count, nearly 500 meals were served in under 2 hours! Wow. Not only did Pittmaster handle the crowd efficiently, the food definitely hit the mark.
And Joe Friday Band? Our toes were tappin’ all night to the well played tunes of this fine trio.
There’s wasn’t a dull moment thanks to Custom Events. The high striker, bounce house, super slide, rock wall, and jousting was a hit with the kids (and adults!) all night.
Congratulations to Gina James who won our Snowbird weekend getaway raffle. Thanks to everyone who entered by dropping your ticket stub, liking us on Facebook, and following us on Instagram. It was fun to see social media posts with our event Snapchat filter, too. We enjoyed chatting with as many residents as we could and look forward to the next community gathering.

1822 E. Walnut Grove Drive | Plant your roots
$310,000 | 2,360 sq. ft. | 3 beds | 2.5 baths
We love helping people find a place where they can put down roots. You know the feeling – digging your feet in the soil and really becoming a part of the landscape, and blossoming alongside a community of neighbors that become close friends.
This house might just be the perfect place to do that.
Oh, it’s not just because this house has a flat, fully-fenced and fully-landscaped .16 acre lot that makes us think that (although it doesn’t hurt)…
It’s more about the whole package that makes it the perfect place to plant yourself and grow.
The master retreat is planted on the back of the home and has pocket views of the Maple Hollow Corridor, which is a perfect place to hike among the Gambel Oak, by the way.
The inviting entry and two other rooms upstairs are perfect for an office, guests, or your little sprouts (see what we did there?). But if you want to branch out a little more, use the downstairs space to create a hobby room, theater room, or play room; you’ve got the square footage.
Think of all you can do to cultivate this house into your home -the yard, the basement, and your personal touches – contact us to see it today, all it needs is you!
SunCrest Community BBQ – The Q In Review
Kudos SunCrest residents, kudos. Chalk it up that the 2015 #suncrestannualbbq was a success. After a skittish weekend of weather, Mother Nature left us alone (begrudgingly, I’m sure) to enjoy this SunCrest community event.
I enjoyed trying (note: trying) to meet everyone who checked in. I exchanged many a “Hello, how are you?” as residents checked in, but [regrettably] missed some conversations. See you around? I sure hope so.
Based on our ticket count, over 600 residents attended. Not too shabby for roughly 1300 homes up on the mountain.
I now know whom I need to take to Wendover or Vegas when I cross over to Nevada next. We had two families beat the odds and take home two raffle prizes.
Mr. Nuzman would beg to differ. By following our Facebook and Instagram, he took home 100 new friends, all named George.
How about the games? The bounce house, rock wall, slide, and jousting gave me flash backs of Nitro, Laser, and Turbo circa 1989. I can hear the American Gladiators theme music now…
The OA staff was on point all night with the cotton candy and temporary tattoos.
Redbox, Netflix, Hulu, or the good ol’ fashion movies got the night off thanks to this big screen.
Thanks to everyone who made it to the event. We hope you had as much fun as we did. One last thanks to our sponsors, The Ridge Market and Café, Penny Ann’s Café, Bake360, Red Bandana 4 Pets, and the SunCrest Snack Shack. These Draper businesses were AWESOME to support our event.
