October SunCrest Market Update

We’re excited to host our annual Warm Winter Clothes Drive. Over the years, you have donated hundreds of warm winter clothes items to those in need. We are humbled every time. Thank you!

This year, we’re teaming up with The Family Support Center’s Midvale Life Start Village, a non-profit that provides housing and self-sufficiency programs for homeless parents in Salt Lake County and once again, we’re asking for your help.

Thank You SunCrest!

Wow – this was our biggest year yet! The continued generosity and support from our community to our annual Warm Winter Clothes Drive is nothing short of amazing. Your donations (hundreds of items!) benefitted The Family Support Center’s Midvale Life Start Village, a non-profit that provides housing and self-sufficiency program for homeless parents in Salt Lake County. Every item you gave will help someone stay a little warmer this winter.

We are moved by the personal stories you shared with me and Robyn. You told us about special trips to stores to buy items, making items when you’re able to find a minute or two, or saving stuff in basements, closets, and garages throughout the year for this drive and it always touches our hearts. We are so grateful for your continued partnership and support.

Shout out to the SunCrest OA for allowing donations to dropped off at the clubhouse.

With all the gratitude we have, THANK YOU.

Warm Winter Clothes Drive

We’re excited for our 6th annual Warm Winter Clothes Drive. Over the past 5 years, you — our SunCrest friends and neighbors — have donated over 2,500 warm winter clothes items to the local communities where we live, work and play. We are humbled and grateful for your response to our call for help. You have made a difference to families who need you. THANK YOU!

This year, we’re excited to partner with The Family Support Center’s Midvale LifeStart Village, a non- profit that provides housing and self-sufficiency program for homeless parents in Salt Lake County. Winter brings bitter temperatures, so let’s team up to keep them warm!

SunCrest Market Update-December

SunCrest,

Where do we even begin? Maybe at the start… five years ago. That’s
when we came to you – our friends and neighbors – with an idea to help
give warm clothes to people in our local communities where we live,
work, and play. Every year, you’ve delivered in a big way.

This year, we partnered with The Family Support Center’s Midvale LifeStart Village, a non-profit that provides Housing and self-sufficiency programs for homeless parents in Salt Lake County. SunCrest, you stepped up big! Nearly 500 items were received keeping pace with previous donations, and we were again blown away. It’s a reminder of how we live in the best community! In addition to the used items that were distributed to The Family Support Center, roughly 50 brand new items were also donated and gifted to families staying in the center. Every single item you gave will help someone this season.

Thank you, SunCrest. Thank you for your donations, big or small. We are continually amazed, year after year, watching this annual tradition grow. Personally meeting neighbors to pick up donations and hearing, “I’ve been saving these for months to give to you,” or, “I went and bought these items for the drive,” has been truly humbling. No donation went unnoticed and we are grateful for your continued generosity. Thank you!

With gratitude,
Scott and Robyn

Dear SunCrest,

We don’t even know where to begin. Four years ago, an idea was born to collect warm winter clothes for those who desperately needed it. We brought their plea to you — our friends, our neighbors, our SunCrest community — and you delivered in a big way.

“Why stop there?” we wondered. Since then, this annual tradition has continued to grow. Not only have your donations grown, but so have your stories of what this has meant to you. Seeing your donations literally pile up (and overflow!) at the clubhouse has been an amazing and touching experience for us. Personally meeting neighbors to pick up donations and hear stories of “I’ve been saving these for 6 months to give to you,” or “I went and bought these items for the drive,” has been a humbling and rewarding reminder of what a great community we live in.

This year, SunCrest donated over 600 items, nearly 20% more than years past! In addition to the used items that go to The Road Home, approximately 60 brand new items were donated and will be a part of  Candy Cane Corner, a holiday store stocked with donations where low-income, struggling families and individuals from the YWCA, Road Home, and Volunteers of America can go to “shop” in a dignified way for presents for their families. Every item you gave will help someone this season.

Thank you SunCrest. Thank you for your donations, big or small. Thank you for helping another man, woman, or child stay a little warmer this winter.

With gratitude,

Scott Steadman and Robyn Foulger

Thank You, SunCrest | 2016 Warm Winter Clothes Drive

warm-winter-clothes-donations

2016-suncrest-donationsSunCrest, you’ve done it again. THANK YOU! We know there are a lot of opportunities (especially this time of year) to participate in drives or donations and we cannot thank you enough for your enthusiastic and continued generosity in our warm winter clothes drive.

suncrest-warm-winter-clothesIn 2014, we launched a warm winter clothing drive to help benefit schools in Heber City, Utah. Many residents of that community are the backbone workforces of the ski and tourism industry, often struggling to make ends meet with long hours and low wages. Many children attending school are below the poverty level. These kids and families don’t need new or brand name clothing, just warm winter clothes in the correct size so they can make it to and from school and enjoy recess. These donations have made a huge difference in these families lives.

With all the gratitude we have, THANK YOU for making this event a success!
