In addition to being able to direct our attention inwardly, these self-reflecting postures increase our backside flexibility. We’ll be moving specifically to draw attention to our inner strengths and shed some light on our weaknesses in order to effect change. Yoga is a modality that is universally individualized. You practice at your own pace whether you are in a very physically challenging class or one that requires more mindful meditation and slowing down.
The true yoga experience comes from listening to your body, honoring where you are, and moving in a direction that is healing. In my classes I strive to facilitate the practice of these concepts. If you are new to the yoga postures themselves, no worries. I will explain the alignment and demonstrate visually how to do the poses while including modifications where it is helpful to each individual. Questions are always welcome. This Hatha Yoga practice includes movement and breath. It can be both challenging and energizing. Yoga helps calm the mind, improves balance, strengthen muscles that you may have forgotten about, and can restore normal range of motion in shoulders and hips.
This class is an ALL LEVELS class.
Our motto is listen to your body, breathe, ask questions, and have FUN! Prepare to sweat!
