Before you roll your eyes at us for taking about SunCrest views yet again, hear us out. Where else can you wake up looking out over a massive lake, or twinkling city lights, or be inspired by the towering snow-capped mountains? You just can’t find that anywhere else in SLC. So when a home like this becomes available and pairs those unbeatable views with an abundance of chic updates, we just can’t shutup about it. Can we be frank about the windows? There are a lot! Each placed for loads of natural light and never ending scenery. The main floor is lined with sturdy, half-inch red oak hardwood floors. In the kitchen, the sellers added sleek grey granite countertops, white cabinets, and a gas range. What’s more is how they removed an obnoxious wall and replaced it with an oversized bar that flows seamlessly to the dining and family room, which overlooks Salt Lake County. That open concept is always a win. The upstairs of this place is unlike any other you’ve seen. The oversized laundry can easily double as a hobby or craft room, thanks to its cozy built-in workstation. The master is tucked along the back and received a bathroom remodel that’s equally stylish and sensible to the home’s design. Do us a favor, though? Take a peek out of the master bedroom windows and see how that feels. You’ll thank us later. The downstairs was recently finished and added a wide open second family room, bedroom, and full bathroom. With summer well underway, we’re pretty excited about this backyard. Step out to the deck to fill your lungs with fresh air and get a face full of views. Call your friends, fire up your barbecue, and pour yourself a bevvie – this backyard is a definite showstopper. With a well thought out floor plan, unmatched views and tasteful updates, what else are you waiting for?

1816 E. Walnut Grove Dr Open Sat. 7/28 1PM-3PM |$424,900 | 3,205 sq. ft. | 3 beds | 2.5 baths

Lights, camera, action; here’s a home in three parts that deserve to be famous. Lights: Daylight or moonlight, natural light pours into this easy-bresy, wide open, SunCrest 2-Story. The kitchen, family, and dining spaces are connected seamlessly to each other, creating one extraordinary open space. Camera: Oh, it’s camera-ready alright. Those views of Utah County and Utah Lake can be seen from the home’s deck and second story and make you want to snap a photo to make your friends jealous. The kitchen, which is bigger than those found in similar floorpans in the ‘hood, was expanded when the home was built. In other words, it’s ready to take on the most discerning kitchen director and can handle any size cast you dare to throw at it. Be sure to peruse the photos of the hardwoods that line the entire main line floor. Action: Well, you’re close to it all. With 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs, the crew is close enough together to create a lasting ensemble, but with enough space to call their own. We also love the bonus loft as a play space, office space, or open space – take your pick! Out back (which is landscaped, fenced, and nestled in natural Gambel Oak) is accessible from both the deck and walkout basement. The community center, a couple of neighborhood parks, and miles of trails are all within walking distance. Don’t wait for the final call, this one is picture perfect.

1665 E. Lone Oak Drive | Welcome Home

$600,000 | 4,443 sq. ft. | 6 beds | 3.5 baths

SCHEDULE SHOWING

In the real estate world, we sometimes chuckle when we hear things are “timeless”. That’s usually code for outdated avocado wallpaper and wood paneling. So what do we call this house that hits all the style sweet spots without over-the-top fad following? Sensible? Solid?

For example, location never goes out of style, and this home is located in the corner of the Oak Vista subdivision. It’s a stone’s throw from the Amber Crest park and sits quietly off the main drag into the community. The curb appeal is fresh, charming, and welcoming.

Inside, the main floor layout continues to stand the test of time thanks to its large entry, high ceilings, and windows that bathe the main floor in natural light. Sunshine ain’t going out of style anytime soon.

We love the simplicity of the kitchen and family room. Take note of the orientation of the bar – it flows just the way you want it to – right into the family room.

The upstairs is pleasant and practical. The sellers say they love having the family all on the same level and the jury is still out if the views of SLC from the master or Utah Lake views from out front are better.

Downstairs is fully finished with plenty of space to spread out. Anytime you pair a family room with a wet bar, you know you have a winning combo for years to come.

Outside is nearly maintenance free thanks to its always green turf and low maintenance flower beds. Enjoy your weekends at the community pool and not in the yard.

While we won’t say it’s timeless, we do know there’s no time to waste to take a look; a sensible home like this disappears fast in today’s market.

2166 E. Bald Eagle Ct | Drop dead gorgeous

$469,900 | 3,350 sq. ft. | 4 beds | 2.5 baths

SCHEDULE SHOWING

We hear a lot about people and their tradeoffs; a house might have great character but no storage, or a perfect layout but no yard. That’s why this house is real treat. Yes, it has an open floor plan, and yes it also has views overlooking Mt. Timpanogas and Utah Lake, but it’s also on a quiet cul-de-sac, with a fully landscaped yard, and the (fully finished) interior is drop dead gorgeous.

We’re having a hard time finding any downside. The main level of this rambler is equal parts clean, bright, and practical. Hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings and walls dotted with windows in the granite clad kitchen make dinner prep work and life after work comfortable and cozy.

We’re obsessed with the deck that leads off the family room – I mean, if you’ve got these kind of views, why not make a deck that spans the whole width of the house?

The master retreat is tucked on the back of the home and brings breakfast in bed to a whole new level as you watch the sun rise over ‘Timp.

Our favorite feature of this home has to be the wide open lower level. We know reclaimed barn wood is always going to be show stopper, but we think the roomy and inviting space is a equally fit for a highball with friends, or playing ball with the kids.

The bright, airy gym is a unexpected find and can easily be converted to another bedroom or office should you need it.

Might be wise to jump on this one quick, homes like this are available once in a rare while. Come take a peek; there’s no downside to looking.

15156 S. Silkwood Ct | Plant your roots

$389,900 | 2,876 sq. ft. | 4 beds | 2.5 baths

SCHEDULE SHOWING

In the world of gardening, they talk a lot about roots. Good roots mean healthy plants. We like that idea, and we like houses with good roots because it’s where you plant your roots, too.

The sellers at 15156 S. Silkwood Ct took a strong foundation and cultivated it into something special. Nestled in a secluded cul-de-sac and still walkable to the community pool (bonus points), the curb appeal on this 2-story is hitting all sorts of exterior checkboxes, but the backyard is really in a league of its own.

Landscaped, fenced and FLAT are harder to find in this part of the ‘hood, but please peruse that custom built pergola. Classy, cool, and a cozy! Perfect spot to impress your friends at your annual summer soiree. Daiquiris anyone?

The interior is blossoming with many of the latest home design must haves. For starters, the kitchen, family and living room are planted right next to each other for maximum flow, and feature white cabinets, gray-toned wood planked tile, and a gorgeous shiplap fireplace.

Upstairs finds 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and the laundry room, so keeping your eyes on your sprouts is easy. The seller also wanted us to mention the views from the master. You’ll see what they mean when you take in the bright light. Downstairs is a unfinished space is ready to bloom into your creative masterpiece.

Our advice: act fast or be left pushing up home searching daises.

SunCrest views? Check.

Fully finished? Check. Landscaped and fenced yard? Check.

A timeless floor plan that won’t go out of style? Uh, you guessed it… check!

Open kitchen and family room, both a formal and a semi-formal dining area, and that brilliant, inviting entrance is just waiting for a “Honey, I’m home!”

15281 S. Tall Woods Drive | Views At Every Turn

$999,000 | 5,627 sq. ft. | 5 beds | 3.5 baths

SCHEDULE SHOWING

We were giddy. We actually felt those high school crush heart palpitations the first time we walked through this custom 2-story, because it exemplifies what SunCrest living is all about: gorgeous homes, unbeatable views, clean air, and an active lifestyle.

Situated atop one of SunCrest’s most elevated streets, it stands proudly on a near three quarter-acre lot, overlooking 270 degree views of Gambel Oak, with cities and lakes seen below.

Our hearts actually skipped a beat when we first went inside. All that natural light! Hours of meticulous forethought went into planning the exact placement of every window and it shows. Not only do the windows flood all three floors with light, they ensure those very views you’re seeking are placed exactly where you want them, at eye level, at each turn.

In designing the space, the sellers doubled down on every design element and created each space to be magazine or #motivationalmonday worthy. Sliding barn doors, stylish hardwoods, in vogue white, gray, and blue cabinets, thick slabs of granite, chic tile; and well, the list can go and on, really.

It’s near impossible to have a favorite spot in this place. When asked, the sellers said it’s a toss up between the kitchen/family room with all its open air, or the fresh air on the 16×20 covered deck. Spring fever anyone?

We are taken (twitterpated, even) by the main floor master retreat. It’s spacious, thanks to its high coffered ceilings and oversized closet (seriously, it’s huge!) and dazzles with its double vanities and resort style spa finishes. The real show stoppers are the sliding glass doors that lead to the private deck, that’s hot tub ready.

Upstairs find 2 bedrooms, a bonus room, a full bathroom and views that are even more impressive with the added elevation.

The lower level was crafted for life’s “anytime” moments – game time, family time, or leave me alone time – it handles form and fashion with ease.

Mind if we end on a teaser? When it’s time to bring the kids or dogs on a tour, be sure show them the hidden hideout under the stairs or the custom dog bath. Be still our hearts!

2045 E. Eagle Crest Drive | Secluded Mountain Retreat

$975,000 | 5,324 sq. ft. | 5 beds | 3.5 baths

SCHEDULE SHOWING

The word “literally” gets thrown around a lot by people these days who aren’t exactly using it correctly, so we want to make sure you know what we mean when we use it. We mean exactly. Precisely. As in, this house is literally one of a kind. It was built as a custom home, and this is literally the first time it will be available since the original owner moved in.

Literally, you can see incredible views of Traverse Mountain, Utah County, and Utah Lake from the large windows scattered around the house. The home sits on a dead-end private lane so you get quiet seclusion in your own mountain retreat.

After you go through the oversized solid wood front door, take in the views along the back, and snap out of your panorama daze, you’ll check out the main floor. Kitchen, dining, and family area all open to each other – the most sought-after trifecta in house hunting today.

The kitchen is not one of those precious museum pieces; it’s meant to be used and is well-equipped for the discerning chef.

Round that out with a main floor master bedroom complete with its own deck and the front room that’s perfect for an office, parlor or sitting room and you literally have everything you need.

That makes the upstairs even more impressive. There are 3 bedrooms up there, a full bath, and a loft. And if you thought the views on the main were great, just wait until you see them one level up.

The downstairs level will up your cool factor with friends: a wet bar, fireplace, and oversized windows. Currently a shrine to Seattle (go Seahawks!) but ready for you to rededicate to Utes, Cougars, Jazz, or just repurpose the space.

With a literal half-acre yard, two decks, and an outdoor entertaining space you can spread out to soak up the views up close and personal. This is literally an opportunity you won’t see again.

15126 S. Eagle Crest Drive | Fresh New Look

$500,000 | 4,133 sq. ft. | 6 beds | 3.5 baths

SCHEDULE SHOWING

When we first toured this home at 15126 S. Eagle Crest Drive, we felt like this baby was bursting with potential and we knew it was time to be bold.

The first order of business? Fresh paint and carpet. Take a deep breath of the new house scent, because you’re about to go into sensory overload. Next, the formica counters were jettisoned in favor of some of the sleekest granite we’ve seen in a while. Swoon!

When we say turnkey, we mean it. The 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths on the main floor are accompanied by flowing spaces, vaulted ceilings, and windows to take in the Wasatch. Those windows are right where you’d hope – letting in the SunCrest air in the summer, precious light in the winter, and providing year-round views only available in this neighborhood.

We love the added bonus room that compliments the main level. Not only does it frame Mount Timpanogas like a painting, but its universal design means you can customize it as you see fit. So. Many. Uses.

Downstairs has two more bedrooms, another flex space (craft room? office? playroom?) and an oversized family and theater area that can keep anyone entertained, especially when coupled with the cable and wifi that are part of the HOA package.

Once you get outside, though, you may never come back. The southern views from the front porch are breathtaking, and the yard is fully fenced and landscaped, nestled into the hillside for a little extra privacy that seems harder to come by nowadays.

From sledding to slip n’ slides, the .19-acre lot provides year-round entertainment and plenty of future #suncrestlifestyle tags. Call us or call your REALTOR to come see the bold and fresh new look.

2163 E. Village Vista Drive | Breathing Easy

There are lots of reasons to move to SunCrest: killer views, clean air, a safe neighborhood, and beautiful homes. Somehow, this home takes each of those benefits and puts them on display, front and center.

For starters, it’s inside of the only gated community on the mountain. That means you’re breathing easy among friends. Speaking of breathing, you’re up above the inversion and the views will definitely remind you.

The kitchen, family room, and master suite have an eagle’s nest view of the Salt Lake Valley and Lone Peak.

The floor to ceiling, eight-panel windows in the master suite let in loads of light, and are an honorable runner-up to the adjoining deck – accessed from the master or the kitchen – when it comes to looking out to blue skies. Hello sunsets!

Take note of the 10-foot ceilings, too; each room feels enormous and with main level living in a rambler, you’ll wonder how you ever did without.

Downstairs, the newly finished family room boasts a bar fit for the finest mixologist; whether it’s a Manhattan neat to impress the neighbors, or a root beer for the kiddos.

Find two rooms for kids or guests, and then something that’s getting harder to find: unfinished space to create your own dream room: bedroom, gym, theater, or workshop to tinker on your 2018 hobbies maybe? The walkout basement leads you to more fresh air and a fully fenced backyard.

It’s everything that SunCrest offers, exemplified in one highly desirable package.
