SunCrest Warm Winter Clothes Drive
In 2014, we launched our inaugural “Warm Winter Clothes Drive” to help benefit schools in Heber City, Utah. Many residents of that community are the backbone workforces of the ski and tourism industry, often struggling to make ends meet with long hours and low wages.
Through 2017 with the residents of SunCrest we planned, organized, and collected over 1200 warm winter clothing items for Heber Valley Elementary. From boots to hats, jackets to thermals, SunCrest made a difference.
In 2018, we celebrated our fifth year collecting warm winter clothes and made our biggest impact yet. This year, we partnered with The Family Support Center’s Midvale LifeStart Village, a non-profit that provides Housing and self-sufficiency programs for homeless parents in Salt Lake County.
Nearly 500 items were received keeping pace with previous donations, and we were again blown away. It’s a reminder of how we live in the best community! In addition to the used items that were distributed to The Family Support Center, roughly 50 brand new items were also donated and gifted to families staying in the center
Windermere Community Service Day
Every year since 1984, Windermere associates have dedicated a day away from work to complete neighborhood improvement projects. Creating vibrant communities is one of the things that inspire our network to be involved in service projects that make things a little brighter for all of neighbors.
This year, Windermere Utah provided The Family Support Center with improvements, inside and out. We helped rebuild exterior buildings, painted exterior and interiors, maintained landscaping so residents could continue to enjoy the landscape.
Zane Beadles Parade Foundation
We’ve continued to partner with the Zane Beadles Parade Foundation as they hosted their inaugural Charity Golf Tournament to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of the Intermountain Area. The event raised over $50,000!
Each year, the ZBPF volunteers at Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain.
The ZBPF supports the journey of young people going through life changing medical experiences, with its main focus on pediatric cancer. We’re grateful to be involved.
The foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that creates new experiences for the pediatric cancer patients at Brent’s Place and patients suffering from spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries at Craig Hospital in Denver. In 2014, the foundation expanded its services to kids and youth in the Jacksonville area while continuing to work with its partners in Denver.
Windermere understands the importance of giving back to our community. Enriching the neighborhoods we live in which we live is an integral part of how we do business. With every home sale, a portion of our commission is donated to the Windermere Foundation.
Since 1989, the foundation has collected and contributed over $40 million. Assistance is provided to non-profit agencies dedicated to helping homeless and low-income families in our community.
