Pie It Forward SunCrest 2023
No matter how you slice it, SunCrest is a special place to live. At this time of year, we start to think about how thankful we are for this community. From helping find a missing furry friend, anonymous lawn mowing or snow shoveling, or recommendations for SunCrest owned business, we are grateful for all the kindness and generosity we see amongst neighbors. It got us thinking, how could we help show our thanksgiving for all this goodness and pay it forward? And thus, Pie It Forward was born.
.
Here’s how it works: We want to help keep the kindness going, and give you a chance to spread some love. We want you to help us give away 100 pumpkin pies to SunCrest residents this season 🥧. All you have to do is tell us who we should give them to. Simply nominate a neighbor, tell us why they deserve a pie, and we’ll gift it to them. We’ll deliver the pies along with your short (anonymous) appreciation message on Tuesday November 21st, just in time for Thanksgiving! No catch, no fine print, just some old fashioned gratitude and goodwill.
.

1932 E Longbranch Dr
📍1932 E Longbranch Dr 🛏 6 , 🛁 4, 📐 4,544 ft.² , on 🌳.21 acres. Offered at 💰1,000,000.
It’s cuffing season. If you haven’t heard of this phenomenon before it’s worth a minute or two on Wikipedia, but we’ll give you the quick definition. Cuffing season: That time of year when single people look for someone to “cuff” themselves to so they can hunker down together during the colder months. While this isn’t Tinder, we definitely think this SunCrest rambler is the perfect match for someone special this cuffing season. Picture this: it’s a bluebird winter day at your new home here on Longbranch Drive. You’re in SunCrest, so the sun is shining brightly above all the inversion in the valley below. As the afternoon shadows get longer, clouds start rolling gently in, and as the sun sets the first snowflakes start to fall. You’ve seen it all from those incredible windows that line this home, showcasing over 180 degrees of views featuring everything from Lone Peak to Utah Lake. You’re nearly equidistant between Provo and Salt Lake City and you’re a short drive to world class skiing, but tonight you’re staying in. And why not? The main floor here is wide open and free from the noisy hubbub of daily life. The kitchen, dining and family room that all are airy, bright and transition seamlessly to each other. The accompanying deck delivers fresh access and the best vantage point to keep a close watch on those views. The primary bedroom is smartly tucked on the back of the house and comes with something we don’t see too often, a separate deck to enjoy the views you’re moving up here for. Another bedroom, full bathroom, and the laundry room make for easy living all on the main floor. Downstairs is fully finished and if we can be frank, it’s pretty freaking cool. Our favorite is the HUGE (not an exaggeration) family room. It’s lined with windows and features a walkout to a backyard oasis and soak in those “only in SunCrest” views. The fully fenced backyard comes complete with a gas fire pit and a spacious paved patio that offers endless possibilities for outdoor fun. This isn’t some short-term fling. This home is the lifelong love type of partner, but you should probably hurry-cuffing season doesn’t last forever and this one could be off the market before you know it. Square footage figures are provided as a courtesy estimate only and were obtained from Appraisal sketch. Buyer is advised to obtain an independent measurement.
15083 S Winged Bluff Lane
📍15083 S Winged Bluff Ln 🛏 4 , 🛁 3.5, 📐 3,225 ft.² , on 🌳. 13 acres. Offered at 💰750,000.
You’re going to have to trust us on this one, but anytime there’s a house on Winged Bluff Lane, people take note. This street (not that we have favorites) is kinda known for exceptional homes. In fact, every time we visit this street (not that we have favorites) we feel pretty lucky to have helped a few of these neighbors find their dream home. So when we first got to tour this home on Winged Bluff (okay, maybe we have a few favorites) we felt that same excitement for whomever will snap this one up. This two-story home perfectly embodies the SunCrest way of life. With its breathtaking vistas, invigorating mountain air, picturesque trails, and a strong sense of community, it evokes that quintessential ‘ahhhh’ feeling every time you enter or exit. As you approach the home from the street, the curbside charm, set against the surreal mountain backdrop, assures you that something magical is just inside. Stepping into the great room just beyond the front door instantly establishes the ambiance of the home-open, inviting, and just the right amount of feel-good vibes. On your right there’s a versatile space (den? office? formal living? dining?) making for a real “choose your own adventure” kind of situation. Transitioning to the rear on the main level, you’ll encounter not only expansive views but also the heart of the home-the kitchen and dining area where you can enjoy a meal with a view, thanks to those windows. On the second story, you’ll discover the primary bedroom, complete with a spacious bathroom and a large walk-in closet. The owners rave about the windows and the views that await outside. We totally get it-you’re surrounded by Lone Peak, Box Elder, Mt. Timpanogos, and the Salt Lake and Utah Valley-which is your favorite? Upstairs, two more bedrooms have their space and are accompanied by another full bathroom. The sun pumps these full of ample natural light, while the walk-in closets give plenty of room for your favorite kids to store their stuff (not that you have favorites). The lowel level was recently finished with another fully equipped kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom, a spare room, and a family room. Whether you call it a granny flat, a mother-in-law suite, guest quarters, or simply a cleverly designed space, we call it a thoughtful addition and certainly something here will quickly become your favorite spot in the house. This home boasts the right amount of square footage, the views that make you feel like you’re piloting a 747, all with the unbeatable amenities of the SunCrest community. We try not to oversell our love for the area, the homes in it, and the people that make SunCrest special, but really, this one you ought to consider quickly.
Warm Winter Clothes Drive 2023
We’re excited to hold our annual SunCrest Lifestyle warm winter clothes drive. We’re collecting new or very gently used Winter coats, jackets, gloves, and boots for those in need. As you pull out your warmer clothes and find items that don’t fit or just may not be your style anymore, we’d love to take them off your hands.
This year, we’re teaming up with Giving Angels, a SunCrest resident-operated nonprofit. They believe that every family deserves to have their basic clothing needs met. With appropriate clothing, children and families will perform better in school and in life.
We have two ways to donate: drive-by donation, or schedule a pickup at your place.
Details are as follows:
Dropoff: Saturday, November 4th – SunCrest Community Clubhouse (2016 E. Village Green Cir) – 9am-11am. We’ll have complimentary donuts, hot cocoa, and coffee. Come by and hang out, or just drive by to drop off.
Pickup: Go to suncrestlifestyle.com/clothes to sign up for a pickup. Leave them on your porch Saturday and we’ll get them by 5pm.
We want to say thanks in advance, because every year your donations get bigger and bigger and it’s awesome (and humbling) to see. Thank you!
14644 S Snow Blossom Way
📍14644 S Snow Blossom Way 🛏 6 , 🛁 3.5, 📐 4,530 ft.² , on 🌳. 33 acres. Offered at 💰1,295,000
Have you ever spent time with a puppy? The tail wagging, the wide eyes—they’re excited about everything! We ask because we recently found ourselves acting just like a pup when we toured this Suncrest two-story. The wagging started when we saw the address. Snow Blossom sits right near the Edelweiss trail and is well-known for its unmatched views. The address puts it at the top of the street where the property backs right up into the Corner Canyon corridor overlooking the Salt Lake Valley. Living here means you’ll see a variety of wildlife, including elk, deer, wild turkeys, and even eagles. The puppy toe taps increased when we toured the inside; the house is just two years young and is light, bright, and features windows all over. To be honest, however, we went into full, unrestrained wiggle mode when we actually saw those views for the first time! No matter which room you’re in, you can see why this home has us so amped up. The main level flows seamlessly and is wide open, featuring two multipurpose rooms—think dining room, living room, or an office—which really give you options to fit your lifestyle. The kitchen has double ovens, a gas cooktop, upgraded cabinets, and, best of all, easy access to nearly 300 square feet of covered deck to enhance your indoor/outdoor lifestyle. Upstairs boasts 4 large bedrooms, the laundry, and the primary suite with a magazine-worthy bathroom featuring a separate tub and shower, adult-height vanity with double sinks, and upgraded tile and surrounds. Can we talk about that horizontal railing that lines the stunning catwalk hallway? Wow. Downstairs features 9-foot ceilings (seriously, why don’t all homes have 9-foot ceilings?) and is fully finished with another bedroom, a full bathroom, and a walkout basement that delivers you to that fresh SunCrest air. Our favorite is the downstairs gathering area—kickoffs, movie marathons, and good old-fashioned game nights are calling. We went full Goldendoodle the first time we saw it. Will you?
16032 S Timber Brook Dr
📍16032 S Timber Brook Dr 🛏 5 , 🛁 3.5, 📐 2,701 ft.² , on 🌳. 14 acres. Offered at 💰635,000.
Remember when a neighborhood used to be a neighborhood? You know the kind where kids would play, neighbors would socialize, and you could forget about the problems of the world for just a moment because you still had your little neighborhood where you belonged? We think that still exists in SunCrest, and especially in Maple Hollow. This little section of SunCrest has an active trailhead, a communal park that’s often filled with games (Olly Olly Oxen Free!) or neighborhood gatherings, and picturesque vistas of both the mountains and the lake. This home sits squarely in that area, and it also has everything you need on the inside to live that pure life of yesteryear with all of today’s modern conveniences. First of all, it’s a corner lot, so you literally have your own not-so-little corner of paradise. The kitchen, which features beautiful light cabinets, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances, is right next to the dining room and a convenient main floor family room. Best of all, the sliding glass door delivers you to a BBQ-ready patio, swingset, raised garden beds, and a well-manicured, landscaped yard. Fire up the grill and break out the lawn darts—you’ll be spending a lot of time out in the yard just like you did when you were a kid. Upstairs, you’ll find 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The primary suite combines both style and practicality, offering essential features like dual vanities, a walk-in closet, and a separate shower and bathtub. The lower level is completely finished (no hard hat and hammer needed), featuring the home’s fifth bedroom, an additional full bathroom, and an expansive family room that’s ready for your new SunCrest Lifestyle. Will it become your personal movie theater, a gaming haven, or a cozy kid or guest retreat? You decide! Maple Hollow is still a true neighborhood, and this house gives you a chance to truly come home.
SunCrest Farmers Market
SunCrest! We are blown away by the incredible energy of this community. The turnout at the SunCrest Farmers Market was awesome. We are not only thrilled to be a part of it, but we are here to rally behind our fellow local businesses too. It’s all about meeting new neighbors, reuniting with old pals, and embracing the true spirit of togetherness as a neighborhood. If you haven’t experienced the magic of the Suncrest Market yet, mark your calendars! These exceptional events go down on the second Wednesday of every month through October. Huge shutout to @suncrestut for putting these together. Trust us, you don’t want to miss them.https://youtube.com/shorts/apRcUw24CJU?feature=share
SunCrest Pool Opening Plunge
SunCrest Pool Opening Plunge
What a party! We had a BLAST at the pool opening celebration. Huge kudos to @suncrestut for kicking the pool season off in such amazing fashion. Over 250 hot dogs were served, 225 Hokulia’s shaved ice handed out, great tunes from the @bestdjinutah, games, local heroes, and plenty of slides and splashes. It was great to see familiar faces and meet new neighbors. See you at the pool all summer! .
2022 Year in Review
2022 Year in Review
It's time for our annual "Year in Review" where we look at the past year in SunCrest Real Estate. 2022 started off much like 2021 with many homes receiving multiple, above asking price offers. As interest rates rose, the total number of homes listed and sold decreased and prices flattened. Overall, home price appreciation saw 13% year over year increase, and just over 103 real estate sales (SunCrest homes and SunCrest land) took place, and the new median price of a home in SunCrest climbed to $795,000.
2022 By The Numbers
103 total SunCrest properties (homes + land) sold
- 90 homes
- 79 single family homes
- 16 of the 79 single family homes were new construction homes
- 11 townhomes
- 13 lots
Median days sales time: 21 days
Highest sold price: $1,910,000
Lowest sold price: $341,500
Median sales price: $795,000
Most active sales period: 3rd quarter
The “Average” SunCrest Home Sold in 2022
We crunched the numbers. If you could put together an overall average of all SunCrest homes sold in 2022, here's what that house would look like:
Average Sold Price: $869,011
Average Price Per Square Foot: $229
Average Days on Market: 36
Year built: 2011
Beds: 4.62
Baths: 3.7
Acres: 0.22
Garage: 2.59
Finished Basement: 72%
Our take
If you're buying or selling, it's always best to take a hands-on approach and assess each home for its own merits. Averages can also be misleading, as there are always wide exceptions to it—that's how averages work, after all. Things like timing, condition, location, and quality all have an impact on buying and selling and you can get frustrated pretty easily if your home sale or purchase don't seem to be fitting the "average" experience. Having a hyperlocal expert in your corner who knows how to spot out of average opportunities can help turn any transaction to your benefit.
