SunCrest Open House Event | July 28th
1799 E. Auburn Ridge Ln Open Sat. 7/28 10AM-12PM | $484,000 | 3,504 sq. ft. | 6 beds | 4 baths
Before you roll your eyes at us for taking about SunCrest views yet again, hear us out. Where else can you wake up looking out over a massive lake, or twinkling city lights, or be inspired by the towering snow-capped mountains? You just can’t find that anywhere else in SLC. So when a home like this becomes available and pairs those unbeatable views with an abundance of chic updates, we just can’t shutup about it. Can we be frank about the windows? There are a lot! Each placed for loads of natural light and never ending scenery. The main floor is lined with sturdy, half-inch red oak hardwood floors. In the kitchen, the sellers added sleek grey granite countertops, white cabinets, and a gas range. What’s more is how they removed an obnoxious wall and replaced it with an oversized bar that flows seamlessly to the dining and family room, which overlooks Salt Lake County. That open concept is always a win. The upstairs of this place is unlike any other you’ve seen. The oversized laundry can easily double as a hobby or craft room, thanks to its cozy built-in workstation. The master is tucked along the back and received a bathroom remodel that’s equally stylish and sensible to the home’s design. Do us a favor, though? Take a peek out of the master bedroom windows and see how that feels. You’ll thank us later. The downstairs was recently finished and added a wide open second family room, bedroom, and full bathroom. With summer well underway, we’re pretty excited about this backyard. Step out to the deck to fill your lungs with fresh air and get a face full of views. Call your friends, fire up your barbecue, and pour yourself a bevvie – this backyard is a definite showstopper. With a well thought out floor plan, unmatched views and tasteful updates, what else are you waiting for?
1816 E. Walnut Grove Dr Open Sat. 7/28 1PM-3PM |$424,900 | 3,205 sq. ft. | 3 beds | 2.5 baths
Lights, camera, action; here’s a home in three parts that deserve to be famous. Lights: Daylight or moonlight, natural light pours into this easy-bresy, wide open, SunCrest 2-Story. The kitchen, family, and dining spaces are connected seamlessly to each other, creating one extraordinary open space. Camera: Oh, it’s camera-ready alright. Those views of Utah County and Utah Lake can be seen from the home’s deck and second story and make you want to snap a photo to make your friends jealous. The kitchen, which is bigger than those found in similar floorpans in the ‘hood, was expanded when the home was built. In other words, it’s ready to take on the most discerning kitchen director and can handle any size cast you dare to throw at it. Be sure to peruse the photos of the hardwoods that line the entire main line floor. Action: Well, you’re close to it all. With 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs, the crew is close enough together to create a lasting ensemble, but with enough space to call their own. We also love the bonus loft as a play space, office space, or open space – take your pick! Out back (which is landscaped, fenced, and nestled in natural Gambel Oak) is accessible from both the deck and walkout basement. The community center, a couple of neighborhood parks, and miles of trails are all within walking distance. Don’t wait for the final call, this one is picture perfect.
1665 E. Lone Oak Drive | Welcome Home
$600,000 | 4,443 sq. ft. | 6 beds | 3.5 baths
In the real estate world, we sometimes chuckle when we hear things are “timeless”. That’s usually code for outdated avocado wallpaper and wood paneling. So what do we call this house that hits all the style sweet spots without over-the-top fad following? Sensible? Solid?
For example, location never goes out of style, and this home is located in the corner of the Oak Vista subdivision. It’s a stone’s throw from the Amber Crest park and sits quietly off the main drag into the community. The curb appeal is fresh, charming, and welcoming.
Inside, the main floor layout continues to stand the test of time thanks to its large entry, high ceilings, and windows that bathe the main floor in natural light. Sunshine ain’t going out of style anytime soon.
We love the simplicity of the kitchen and family room. Take note of the orientation of the bar – it flows just the way you want it to – right into the family room.
The upstairs is pleasant and practical. The sellers say they love having the family all on the same level and the jury is still out if the views of SLC from the master or Utah Lake views from out front are better.
Downstairs is fully finished with plenty of space to spread out. Anytime you pair a family room with a wet bar, you know you have a winning combo for years to come.
Outside is nearly maintenance free thanks to its always green turf and low maintenance flower beds. Enjoy your weekends at the community pool and not in the yard.
While we won’t say it’s timeless, we do know there’s no time to waste to take a look; a sensible home like this disappears fast in today’s market.
2166 E. Bald Eagle Ct | Drop dead gorgeous
$469,900 | 3,350 sq. ft. | 4 beds | 2.5 baths
We hear a lot about people and their tradeoffs; a house might have great character but no storage, or a perfect layout but no yard. That’s why this house is real treat. Yes, it has an open floor plan, and yes it also has views overlooking Mt. Timpanogas and Utah Lake, but it’s also on a quiet cul-de-sac, with a fully landscaped yard, and the (fully finished) interior is drop dead gorgeous.
We’re having a hard time finding any downside. The main level of this rambler is equal parts clean, bright, and practical. Hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings and walls dotted with windows in the granite clad kitchen make dinner prep work and life after work comfortable and cozy.
We’re obsessed with the deck that leads off the family room – I mean, if you’ve got these kind of views, why not make a deck that spans the whole width of the house?
The master retreat is tucked on the back of the home and brings breakfast in bed to a whole new level as you watch the sun rise over ‘Timp.
Our favorite feature of this home has to be the wide open lower level. We know reclaimed barn wood is always going to be show stopper, but we think the roomy and inviting space is a equally fit for a highball with friends, or playing ball with the kids.
The bright, airy gym is a unexpected find and can easily be converted to another bedroom or office should you need it.
Might be wise to jump on this one quick, homes like this are available once in a rare while. Come take a peek; there’s no downside to looking.
15156 S. Silkwood Ct | Plant your roots
$389,900 | 2,876 sq. ft. | 4 beds | 2.5 baths
In the world of gardening, they talk a lot about roots. Good roots mean healthy plants. We like that idea, and we like houses with good roots because it’s where you plant your roots, too.
The sellers at 15156 S. Silkwood Ct took a strong foundation and cultivated it into something special. Nestled in a secluded cul-de-sac and still walkable to the community pool (bonus points), the curb appeal on this 2-story is hitting all sorts of exterior checkboxes, but the backyard is really in a league of its own.
Landscaped, fenced and FLAT are harder to find in this part of the ‘hood, but please peruse that custom built pergola. Classy, cool, and a cozy! Perfect spot to impress your friends at your annual summer soiree. Daiquiris anyone?
The interior is blossoming with many of the latest home design must haves. For starters, the kitchen, family and living room are planted right next to each other for maximum flow, and feature white cabinets, gray-toned wood planked tile, and a gorgeous shiplap fireplace.
Upstairs finds 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and the laundry room, so keeping your eyes on your sprouts is easy. The seller also wanted us to mention the views from the master. You’ll see what they mean when you take in the bright light. Downstairs is a unfinished space is ready to bloom into your creative masterpiece.
Our advice: act fast or be left pushing up home searching daises.
1812 E. Longbranch Ct | Form and Functionality
$600,000 | 4,332 sq. ft. | 6 beds | 3.5 baths
Mind if we skip the small talk and jump straight to brass tacks? It’s just that the home at 1812 East Longbranch checks off all the proverbial home search boxes.
SunCrest views? Check.
Fully finished? Check. Landscaped and fenced yard? Check.
A timeless floor plan that won’t go out of style? Uh, you guessed it… check!
This SunCrest 2-story sits atop a cul-de-sac, so not only do you enjoy less commotion from people passing by, but you also get the benefit of elevated views. The main floor is all about form and functionality; each space is designed to get the most out of that area. Open kitchen and family room, both a formal and a semi-formal dining area, and that brilliant, inviting entrance is just waiting for a “Honey, I’m home!”
The master retreat upstairs has a bird’s eye view of the valley below. Is it us or is that second tier deck begging for a little rest and relaxation after a long day?
Downstairs completes the checklist of class and convenience that this home offers, with two large bedrooms and the inviting open living spaces ready for your creatives use.

15419 S. Eagle Crest Drive | Sleek, Stylish, & Views
$699,000 | 4,784 sq. ft. | 4 beds | 3 baths
Welcome to 15419 S. Eagle Crest Drive.
We’re swooning over the flawless transition of consistent hand scraped hardwoods on the main floor. Not only are they sleek and stylish, but they’re smart and sensible for everyday life.
The natural nexus of the family room, kitchen, and semi-formal dining is flanked by oversized windows all around. Whenever you pair sky vaults, windows, and view with rock fireplaces, granite counters, freshly painted cabinets, and stainless appliances you know it’s going to be good.
We love the placement of the master bedroom, a comfortable distance from the 2 bedrooms, yet tucked at the back of the lot to capture the views you moved up here for. Finesse, for sure.
Downstairs is open, bright, and huge. The whole family (maybe twice extended) are no match for the brilliant, sweeping design. From family room to pool table, ping pong, or hoop it up; take your pick – or take them all – this basement can handle it.The spare finished area would be perfect for a theater room, in our opinion. But hey, you do you.
The downstairs is rounded out by a bedroom, full bathroom and wet bar ready to serve up anything from popcorn to piña coladas.
The upgrades weren’t limited to the indoors – there’s a new spiral staircase that makes the crisp mountain air available from both levels. It’s just outside the daylight walkout basement off the covered Trex deck.
The backyard is landscaped and fenced for all two-legged and four-legged wanderers.
Sure, the sellers are sad to go. But they’re leaving it in tip top shape just for you!
